September 10th was not only Mom's 79th birthday but also Audrey Wood's Bridal Shower at the Lion House in beautiful, construction riddled, downtown Salt Lake City. Parking was a challenge but the shower was perfect. This is a picture of the birthday girl, me and Jacque Beers, Jannette Green Gardner's daughter.

Audrey Wood just quit her job as a producer of the Early Show in D.C. to marry Robert MacKay and move to San Diego, California where Rob is attending school. Rob is the son of my cousin Kathy and her husband, Dee. This is a picture of Julie Silotti Gummow, Audrey and Tammie Green Silotti.

We enjoyed a chicken cordon bleu dinner that included salad, famous Lion House rolls and a "to die for" strawberry cheesecake.

After dinner, Audrey opened gifts and we all shared memories of Rob.

BTW: Our family celebrated Mom's birthday last night with a dinner at Chuck-O-Rama. I didn't take any pictures at the restaurant. It's shocking, I know! Happy Birthday Mom. We love you.

You not take many pictures.. Are you okay? Maybe you should seek medical help ASAP??
That is a fancy bridal shower! How did he find a girl that was a producer of the Early Show? Looks like a fun time.
Sounds yummy! We stopped to get rolls while in UT, but it was too early and the Lion House was not open yet...and at 10 am it was way to hot to wait an hour for them to open. You will have to bring some when you come in September.
Happy Birthday to Grandma Boots!!
