My second child and oldest daughter, Jamie, is celebrating her ninth wedding anniversary today. She met her husband at a Stake Young Adult activity (yes, you can meet your future spouse at a Young Adult activity!). They had both attended Taylorsville High School but Dan is two years older than Jamie and they didn't meet until after Dan returned from his mission and Jamie was attending Salt Lake Community College. After Dan graduated from the University of Utah, they headed to Cleveland, Ohio where Dan attended Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry. Jamie worked as a Medical Assistant in one of the Cleveland Clinics. Their first child, Annika was born in Ohio. We had the opportunity to visit them several times in the four years they lived in the Cleveland area. We were able to see the church history sites in and around Kirtland, Ohio. We took a trip with them to Palmyra, attended the Hill Cumorah pageant, visited the Sacred Grove and ended the trip at Niagara Falls. We also visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and attended a Cleveland Indians baseball game. Dan graduated in May of 2006 as a D.M.D. and bought a Dental practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Their second child, Justin, was born there in May of last year. I love this little family. They are a great example of love, commitment and hard work. Happy Anniversary, Dan and Jamie!
